Finally, here is a view of the cleaning rod which is larger-diameter like an 1895 Mauser or a Spanish 1916 Mauser. It has both the bottom and side mounted factory sling swivels, milled components with blue parts with bright polished bolt assembly and is complete with an original leather sling and cleaning rod. Mauser, which at the time was secretly building production capacity for Hitlers Third Reich offered to fill a contract to supply Brazil with the new Mauser Modelo 1935 long rifle. The trigger guard also has a dish-cut at the rear action screw, much like a Chilean 1895 Mauser: Here we see the rear sight which is reminiscent of an eastern-block VZ58 rear sight with a round profile slide. It has a walnut stock and long handguard that extends to the receiver ring, the left side of the stock has the large "Chilean Crest/ 1935/CaE" circular proof.
